John Kosch
Bio
John Kosch is an award-winning composer from Lincoln, Nebraska, who teaches courses in music composition and music technology at Concordia University Nebraska and Nebraska Wesleyan University. His previous experience as a grade school band director and collegiate music theory instructor has helped him learn how to incorporate composition activities in various educational settings. He has shared his presentation, “Composing in Any Classroom” at various conferences to help make composition education more accessible to teachers and students alike. Currently, he is exploring the benefits of frequent, ungraded, group composition as a means of better scaffolding theory and composition instruction for all students.
