Zhongling Zhang
Bio
Zhongling Zhang is a PhD student in Music Education at the University of North Dakota and a graduate teaching assistant. Originally from China, she holds degrees from Wuhan Conservatory of Music and Yangtze University, with additional academic training at Iowa Wesleyan University in the United States. Her research interests include higher music education, the integration of AI in music teaching and learning, and educational equity from cross-cultural perspectives. With a strong foundation in vocal performance and diverse teaching experience across age groups and cultural contexts, she brings a global, practice-informed lens to her work. Passionate about inclusive and research-informed pedagogy, Zhongling is committed to exploring how cultural background, technological innovation, and equity considerations shape student learning and engagement in contemporary music education.
