Emily Mehigh

Emily Mehigh is a freelance clarinetist and private lesson teacher in the St. Louis area. She teaches at the Community Music School at Webster University and a few times a week in the Mehlville School District. Emily plays bass clarinet with the St. Louis Wind Symphony, and also is a substitute performer with the St. Louis Philharmonic and St. Louis Civic Orchestras. When not doing any of that she loves to collaborate with composers and fellow musicians to create and perform new music. Emily has recently performed at the CMS Central Chapter Conference in 2025 with a work for solo clarinet and electronics. She also has traveled to Phoenix, Arizona on multiple occasions to perform new music at the Oh My Ears festival. Emily has loved where new music has taken her over the last decade, and hopes to continue to do so!
